Emergency Response Team - ERT

Image for Emergency Response Team - ERT

Every week at CT, God is hard at work winning the lost and building up the Body of Christ. But all of that depends on CT being a safe and secure environment. This is something that most of us don’t think about on a day to day basis, but is critically important. This is the focus of the emergency response team, a group trained medical personnel. They think about safety so that the rest of us don’t have to. If you are dependable and medically trained (First Aid, CPR, etc), then this role is for you!

Arrive 30 minutes before CT begins and checks in with Safety Team.  Gets radio and returns it 15-30 minutes after CT.

Greeter

Greeters are the face of Dwell Community Church at CT. Did you know that at any given CT meeting there are an average of 4 first time visitors? CT greeters make that all important first impression, and set the tone for everyone walking in the door. It can be intimidating walking into a meeting as a visitor, but a smiling face and a warm welcome make it that much easier for folks to come in and hear about Christ, maybe for the first time!

Arrive 30 minutes before CT.  Check in at Next Steps booth.

Grill volunteers work together as a team to bring low cost, awesome food into the mix at CT, paving the way for families to stick around for fellowship, prayer and good conversation. Over the years, many people have made a decision for Christ while hanging out for fellowship on the back deck after CT. It takes hardworking volunteers to create the fun, “summer cookout” environment each week.

Microphone

Image for Microphone

One of the most common reactions we hear from visitors is astonishment that we open the floor for Q&A and prayer. This unique tradition creates an environment of participation, rational thinking and a pursuit of truth. It takes a team of volunteers with awareness and sensitivity to make this possible. You can help create the special atmosphere at CT by serving as microphone volunteer. We believe that the Spirit Himself sometimes moves individuals to speak in order to build up everyone in the room, and it’s fun to play a part in making that possible.

Arrive 20 minutes before the start of the CT.  Get your microphone from the sound booth.

Smoker Team

The mobile meat smoker adds really unique and fun to special events and fellowship after CT. It creates a special occasion that draws people out to mix it up with the Body of Christ and hear the good news. If you like the sound of hanging around for hours with some good friends, sampling meat, having some laughs and some good conversation, all the while contributing to people coming to know Christ, this ministry is for you!

Depending on the event you could spend a few hours smoking wings or 12 hours smoking pork.  You are provided with training and a team to help you smoke the perfect meat!

Snack Bar - Post-CT Snack Bar Service/Clean Up

Image for Snack Bar - Post-CT Snack Bar Service/Clean Up

At first glance, doing something like running the snack bar might not seem like work that makes a direct spiritual impact, but just the opposite is true. When you join in with this team, you’re helping to create the atmosphere of hospitality that permeates the entire meeting. Think about this: when guests come to investigate spiritual things, you may well be their first impression of Christ!

Snack Bar - Post-CT Snack Bar Service/Clean: Meeting End Prayer (Approx. 10:40 AM) - 11:30 AM

Place the snack items back on the counter. Sell products to the 10 AM CT until about 11:10. From 11:10- 11:30, put all snack bar items away in the labelled areas, rinse the coffee urns, and clean and sanitize the counters. If time allows, restock snacks, drinks, and teas from the back up drawers.
